We work to protect Europe’s (EU27+EFTA+UK) recycling industry, uphold policy consistency, and strengthen Europe’s transition to a fair, resilient, and transparent circular economy. By uniting recyclers, industry leaders, NGOs, policymakers, and citizens, we champion a future where Europe takes full responsibility for its own waste — and turns it into opportunity.
Circular Plastics Made in Europe unites recyclers, NGOs, policymakers, and
citizens to protect Europe’s (EU27+EFTA+UK) recycling future.
We champion the development of plastic products that are durable, recyclable, and designed for high-quality secondary use. By promoting European innovation and eco-design principles, we help keep materials in circulation and reduce waste at the source.
We advocate for a systemic approach to plastic pollution built on three pillars: prevention, efficient collection, and high-quality recycling. Prevention comes first — reducing unnecessary plastic use, improving product design, and promoting circular solutions that avoid waste before it is created. At the same time, we support strong, efficient, and transparent recycling systems across Europe (EU27+EFTA+UK). This includes improved collection, advanced sorting, high-quality recycling technologies, and stable markets for recycled plastics — keeping resources in the European economy and out of landfills and the environment.
Real circularity happens when industries, policymakers, recyclers, innovators, and consumers work together — and when costs and responsibilities are shared fairly. Today, consumers often pay the price for recycling through higher product costs or municipal fees. Our campaign advocates for a more balanced system where producers, value-chain partners, and consumers contribute equitably to effective recycling and reuse solutions. We foster collaboration across the entire value chain to accelerate Europe’s transition toward circular plastics and support the implementation of the Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) and Single-Use Plastic Directive (SUPD).
Our campaign is guided by a clear Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) framework, used as a tool for accountability and implementation, not corporate reporting. It ensures that our actions support effective policy delivery, protect people, and strengthen Europe’s circular plastics system.
We focus on waste prevention, high-quality recycling, and keeping plastic resources within Europe (EU27 + EFTA + UK). By reducing leakage and contamination, we help ensure that plastics remain safe, traceable, and valuable within the circular economy—protecting both the environment and human health.
We advocate for a fair and inclusive transition that protects workers, communities, and consumers from disproportionate economic and health impacts. Strong circular systems must create local value, safeguard public health, and build trust in recycled materials and products.
We support transparent, enforceable rules and the consistent implementation of the Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) and the Single-Use Plastics Directive (SUPD) across Europe. Clear standards, harmonised enforcement, and accountability are essential to turn legislation into real-world impact.
